Itinerary

Day 1: By Train – Delhi to Amritsar
Option 1 (Morning Shatabdi Exp) – (Dep. New Delhi at 0720 hrs/ Arr. Amritsar at 1330 hrs)
Option 2 (Afternoon Vande Bharat) – (Dep. Old Delhi at 1515 hrs/ Arr. Amritsar at 2045 hrs)
Option 3 (Direct flight from new Delhi/ Volvo Bus)

On arrival at Amritsar station, pick up and transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Then after Checking-in to your hotel, we will have our lunch and then we will leave for Gobindgarh Fort.

Overnight in Amritsar.

Day 2: Amritsar- Sightseeing                                                                                                                               Today morning, after breakfast, we will leave for Jallianwala Bagh– This historical area is known for the massacre commissioned by General Dyer, during the British Rule and Museum. Later proceed to visit Harminder Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple.

Afternoon, we will proceed to Wagah-Attari (Indo-Pak Border) to see an evening parade of guard changing ceremony and lowering of the flag. By late evening, return to hotel for overnight stay

Day 3: Drive to Katra (260 Kms/ 5-6 hrs)

Today morning, post breakfast you will check out from the hotel, we will visit Durgiana Temple/Mata Lal Devi Mandir and then after drive to Katra. It will take 5-6 hrs to reach there, Katra town is the base station for Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra. (Rest Day or if you want you can start yatra late night).

Day 4: In Katra – Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan – Katra

Today early morning, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The temple is situated on the top of the hill, situated in the lap of Trikuta Mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra upto Bhawan involves a trek of approximately 12-13 Kms (one way) from Katra base camp known as Ban Ganga, and usually takes around 5-6 hours to reach the shrine. Ponies, Palkis, Pithoos, Porters, Battery car, etc. are other means of transport available during yatra for assisting devotees/ yatris, senior citizens and children. (You can trek to Bhawan or can hire ponies, palki, and battery rickshaws from the shrine board ON DIRECT PAYMENT basis.

After performing Mata Vaishno Devi darshans, seek blessings at the holy cave and explore the shrine complex. If time permits, visit Bhairo Temple & return to Katra in the evening and relax at your hotel.

Important Notes:

1) All passengers are requested to register online for Yatra Registration Slip (Yatra Parchi) on Shrine Board official website www.maavaishnodevi.org
2) Passengers/ Yatris registered through Online mode are requested to collect RFID yatra access card before commencement of yatra from Yatra Registration Counter (YRC) established at Katra (Bus Stand, Railway Station, Niharika Complex, Counter No.02, Serli Helipad) and Vaishnavi Dham Jammu & Jammu Airport.
3) Yatra Registration is Mandatory and must be carry all time during the yatra.
4) Only postpaid mobile numbers work in Jammu & Kashmir.
5) DPauls does not provide any facility of VIP/Priority Entry/Darshan at any Monuments/shrines/places of interest mentioned in the itinerary. DPauls shall not be responsible for any loss of sight-seeing/Darshan, nor shall be liable for any refunds in case the Darshan cannot be completed owing to reasons such as delay in Darshan due to heavy rush, VIP Govt. Official Movements and closure by govt. agencies etc.

Day 5: Departure Transfer/ Train : Katra to New Delhi
Option 1 : (Morning Vande Bharat Exp) – (Dep. Katra at 0600 hrs/ Arr. New Delhi at 1400 hrs)
Option 2 : (Afternoon SVDK Vande Bharat) – (Dep. Katra at 1500 hrs/ Arr. New Delhi at 2300 hrs)

Today, we will transfer to Katra railway station in time to board on the train to New Delhi.

Tea/ Snacks and meals are served on the train as per fixed menu planned by Indian railway/ IRCTC Catering.
